This Z 24-120mm f/4 is a fantastic lens. It's ultrasharp, covers a far more useful range than any 24-70mm lens, it's reasonably light, fast with a constant f/4, compact and well priced. Personally I prefer the Z 24-200mm VR for its much longer reach and lower price over wanting a constant f/4. We're all different; see Nikon Z Midrange Zooms These two shots were from a Z6 with f/4 24-70 S and a 85 1.8 S, one shot at f/4 and the other at f/4.5. 200 ISO and 1/50 shutter. There is a difference in contracts because between shots the bar lights were turned down as the band started to play.

This lens is of the retractable type. That means that after use, you can twist it even tighter so that it takes up very little space during transport.

The range of 24-70 mm usually covers all the most popular and handy focal lengths, from wide-angle to the standard 35/50 mm settings and up to the 70 mm telephoto range. A 24-70 2.8 lens can be used with both full-frame and cropped cameras, with the latter demanding a sacrifice at the wide-angle range, but offering an improved telephoto setting

This is truly an S class lens. The image quality is outstanding, every bit as sharp as the far more expensive 70-200 2.8 and 24-70 2.8. It covers the focal range I most often shoot without having to change lenses, a big bonus in windy dusty conditions. It takes standard size filters and it has programmable function button which I set to image All technical specifications for the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 are from the official Nikon website: Maximum aperture: f/4; Minimum aperture: f/22; Max angle of view: 84˚, Min angle of view 34°20′ Construction: 14 elements, 11 groups, 7 diaphragm blades; AF actuator: STM (stepping motor) Min focus distance: 0.99 ft, 0.3m, 11.88-inches; Filter size

Review Nikon null Here’s Nikon’s lens construction diagram for the 24-200mm f/4-6.3: That’s a lot of lens elements. Nineteen, to be exact. It’s not out of line for a superzoom, but it’s still more than the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S (17 elements) and behind only the Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S (21 elements) of the Z lenses so far.
