Edge of the Mists is a pretty niche way to level for the most part, after the patch I'd say levels 1-20 are faster in open world zones, if you're not a fan of world completion after that then you can stick to EotM from 20 onwards.

Farming Mastery XP is the same as farming XP while leveling: stack up on on-kill XP bonuses (e.g. XP Boosters, Guild XP Booster, Food, Utilities, Black Lion Boosters, etc.) and kill level 80 mobs, especially yellow-named mobs, to capitalize on the bonus XP they gain the longer they remained on the map.
For completing hearts or taking down a champion or veteran: Pick the Long bow and the Short bow. When doing leveling via DE's: Pick the Long bow and the Axe/Torch. Ok my reasoning for this is because when completing hearts the second fastest weapon the ranger has access to is the short bow and it gives you conditions and mobility. I appreciate all of the tips I got on crafting, so I wanted to pass those forward for any other new players!What I use for the quickest way to level up craft vvaEMOr.
